LBI RANKS 20th Among America's Beaches

Can you imagine a "professional" beach rating system? Well, according to Florida International University's BEACH EXPERT the top twenty best American beaches are in Hawaii, (big surprise, huh?), and Florida (another big surprise) and....

Yep, you guessed it: Long Beach Island!! The rating system evaluates such attributes as cleanliness, quality of sand and waves, presence of pests and extra things like lifeguards and such.

No other New Jersey beaches made the cut, and only one California beach made it in--as # 19, just above LBI. It's true: log on to
